Traveling is not a hobby, it is a lifestyle. Christian Byfield not only proves this theory, but he lives by it.
Christian studied Industrial engineering in La Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. He carried out a high-paid job where his future was assured as the head of a company in the financial sector. Nonetheless, during his father’s 60th birthday, he was stuck at work and didn't leave the office till dawn. Filled with frustration and despair he took the initiative to quit his job and set out on a trip without ending.
He faced the world with a backpack filled with clothes and a big smile. Even Though, his first days were filled with doubt and confusion. He never regretted challenging himself to succumb to this new adventure. He then started sharing, writing, and posting his trips and locations on Instagram. He became a known traveler and was called the "Collector of smiles". He was invited to write for the magazine La Semana. This allowed a wider exposure to the Instagram community and was now being addressed as “influencer”.
He has traveled all around the world, jumping from plane to plane in a non-stopping adventure. He is the owner of a tourism agency called VAOVA, has a blog about traveling, a youtube channel were he records blogs in english about his trips, and he has been an active member of the ProColombia entity.
