Due to the current global pandemic travel has changed drastically from what it used to be last year. This will have various repercusions on travel in the future, and therefore, raises the question will travel ever be the same?
The Economist made a seven minute video, which talks about the possible impacts and changes travel will have in the future. This is a very important topic because it allows us to be informed on what will happen, what to expect and the possible problems that this may cause us as consumers, and travelers in general.

Even though travel may never be the same, and we do not know when we will be able to travel restriction-free again, people are rediscovering ways of seeing other countries without actually having put their health at stake by jumping on an airplane. This can be done by watching 4K videos of different countries. There are many of these types of videos on the internet, however, a unique channel that stands out is Rambalac. They create high quality youtube videos in which there is no audio, no person talking to you and no intrusive faces, just Japan, and what you would see as a tourist. This is important in today's context because it allows us to experience a new place in a realistic manner from the safety of our homes and allows us to maybe escape from our current reality.

The following article by CNN shows how travelling is something that can co-exist during lockdown or self isolation. This can be seen through the travel photographer Erin Sullivan. She shows how travel in itself is not only physical but also can be done through the imagination. Here she uses her memories from her previous travels in order to recreate them into images done from the inside of her house.
