Having a road trip with me might be one of the most tedious things you can do because I feel the necessity of stoping everywhere I can to silently admire the views. I find almost everything fascinating and you can often see me staring at things with childlike admiration. That, combined with the fact that anywhere you look in Colombia, my country, you will find a beautiful landscape can make for the most annoying road trip you could ever have.
I firmly believe that Colombia is the most beautiful country in the world. Here you have the immensity of the Andes mountains and the two oceans that have a coastline in Colombia which make you realize how small and lucky you are to exist, but you also have these small and colourful towns, filled with joyful and caring people that make you feel like you are part of something bigger.
These colourful towns, which often rely on tourism to exist, are the ones that give me the excuse for doing road trips and allow me to gaze and admire the beautiful landscapes. Sadly, because of the current pandemic, these towns have suffered economically with stores, hotels and restaurants closing putting their industry in danger.
This is why here at Pata de Chucho I will share the beauties of Colombia and the struggle these towns that I love have endured during this pandemic.
